Our Certified organic chickens are traipsing around in a lush green pasture. The laying chickens of choice are the Rhode Island Reds which are prolific brown egg layers.
Our chicken eggs are very popular not only in Lake County but also in Marin County in California. A hen requires about 36 hours to produce and egg.
I cooked up some of By Cracky's eggs for my husband. As he was heartily eating them, he turned to me and said "WOW ARE YOU EVER A GREAT COOK." That was the first time in 20 years he has ever said that. It must have been the eggs.
